Summer working parties get Warriors Rest ready for the season.

The club arranged two volunteer days where parents, friends, players and committee members all worked together to make sure our home ground was kept in tip top condition ready for the new season.

The club would like to thank all those who helped for their support. We still need more volunteers to come forward in order to keep up the good work and make the environment the best in the area for youth football.

There were many jobs undertaken, including; painting the car park fencing, re-hanging the 11 a side goal nets, marking out all the pitches, strimming a large part of the perimeter, along with the area behind the dome, and we put the first coat of  paint on the brick dug outs. Furthermore the dugout roofs were repaired and the smaller wooden dugouts made good again along with all signs and sponsor banners cleaned. We are sure everyone can see the difference it makes and the ground looked in excellent condition.

We still need your help!

We still have some outstanding jobs that need to be looked at over the next few months which are as follows…

  1. Second coat of paint on brick  dug out.
  2. Start and complete painting on second brick dug out.
  3. Start and complete painting on both wooden dug outs.
  4. Weed and tidy car park.
  5. Continue upkeep of perimeter area and keep free of overgrown weeds and bushes.

We would encourage parents, players and friends of the club to participate wherever possible and spare what time they can – please speak with your manager if you are able to help.

Once again thanks for all your continued support.
